BISMARCK, ND – North Dakota Secretary of State Michael Howe wants North Dakotans to help choose our state’s next “I Voted” sticker. Five finalist designs have been selected for the “I Voted – More Than Just a Sticker” contest, and the public can vote for their favorite by going to sos.nd.gov/stickervote. Voting is open through January 23.
From kindergarteners to grandparents, 478 entries from 72 communities were submitted.
“I was impressed by the number of entries we received and the variety of designs. It was a true reflection of creativity and civic pride from across our state,” said Secretary Howe. “I’m excited to see which design North Dakotans select for their next 'I Voted' sticker."
The winning design will be announced in March 2026 and will debut at the polls during the 2026 Primary Election on June 9. In addition to having their sticker on display statewide when worn by North Dakota voters, the winner will receive a professionally framed copy of their winning design and recognition from Secretary Howe during the official sticker unveiling ceremony that will take place in Bismarck.
The last statewide voting sticker design contest was sponsored by the North Dakota County Auditors Association. Fourth graders were invited to submit designs, and the winning sticker was revealed for the 2020 election cycle.
