New Systems for Campaign Finance & Statement of Interests Reporting
The year-end report for campaign finance and the annual filing of a statement of interests are due by January 31. The 2025 Legislative Session passed new requirements under NDCC 16.1-09-02 for a statement of interests to be filed annually by all elected office holders, and individuals appointed by the governor to state agencies, boards, commissions, departments, etc.
The Office of the Secretary of State has two new systems just in time for completing these year-end and annual reporting for both campaign finance and statement of interests. Online virtual trainings were offered January 6 - 15, and online and in-person office hours are being offered January 21 -23 to introduce the new systems and answer questions about them.
