Secretary of State Michael Howe is shaking the hand of former Secretary of State Al Jaeger, who is holding a copy of the blue book. Both men are dressed in business suits.

BISMARCK, ND – North Dakota Secretary of State Michael Howe today presented the 2023-2025 North Dakota Blue Book at the official Launch Party at the State Capitol’s Memorial Hall.

This edition of the 2023-2025 North Dakota Blue Book presents “North Dakota State Historic Sites and Museums,” which shares the story of the hands-on history experiences and community events these locations provide. It also features celebrations of anniversaries, such as the 100th anniversary of the North Dakota Health Department and the 150th Anniversary of the City of Bismarck, along with many other sections on North Dakota.

During the ceremony, Howe recognized over 50 volunteers who wrote and contributed information for the book. Starting in September 2022, these individuals committed many hours to make this latest edition a reality. He also presented the ceremonial first book to former Secretary of State Al Jaeger in recognition of Jaeger’s commitment and dedication to making the Blue Book a premier source of North Dakota information.

The book contains much information about the state not readily found in other publications, such as statistical data and information about the state’s symbols and awards, elected officials, agencies, judiciary branch, legislative branch, federal-state relationships, education, elections, agriculture, natural resources, and energy.

Twenty-three editions of the Blue Book are now available online, and each edition can be accessed directly from the websites of the North Dakota Secretary of State, www.sos.nd.gov, and the State Historical Society of North Dakota, www.history.nd.gov.

The North Dakota Blue Book sells for $20 through the Museum Store at the North Dakota Heritage Center at (701) 328-2666 or www.history.nd.gov.
